Step-by-Step Instructions for Cinnamon Roll Muffins
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract; stir until mixed.
  4. Gently pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold together without overmixing.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, ground cinnamon and melted butter.
  6. Scoop muffin batter into prepared muffin cups, filling halfway, then add cinnamon filling on top.
  7. Spoon additional batter over cinnamon filling to cover.
  8. Gently swirl batter and cinnamon filling together using a toothpick.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean.
  10. While muffins bake, whisk together cream cheese and powdered sugar for glaze.
