Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter.
  2. Steam the fresh broccoli florets in the microwave for about 4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  3. Combine the chopped rotisserie chicken and steamed broccoli in a large mixing bowl.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt a tablespoon of butter and sauté the chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the condensed cream of chicken and mushroom soups, milk, and sour cream, stirring until blended and heated through.
  6. Combine the creamy mixture with the chicken and broccoli, mixing until evenly coated, then transfer to the greased baking pan.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
  8. In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and dried parsley until evenly coated.
  9. Evenly sprinkle the panko breadcrumb mixture over the casserole.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly, then cool for 5 minutes before serving.
