  • 1/4 cup Milk optional; can use dairy-free option
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Hobo Casserole Ground Beef
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onions are translucent.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Layer thinly sliced potatoes over the beef. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes. Pour beef broth or water around the edges of the dish. Optionally drizzle with milk.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
