- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish by greasing it lightly.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Pour in the sloppy joe sauce and mix well, then fold in the cooked pasta until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to your greased baking dish, spreading evenly and patting it down.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top to cover completely.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
