Step-by-Step Instructions for White Mushroom Pizza
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Pour a tablespoon of olive oil onto a baking sheet and spread it evenly.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add 8 ounces of thinly sliced cremini mushrooms along with 1 teaspoon of dried thyme and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano. Cook for 5-6 minutes, seasoning with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Sprinkle yellow cornmeal onto a surface, then roll out your pizza dough to a 12-inch round. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread 8 ounces of mozzarella cheese over the dough. Add generous dollops of 1 cup of ricotta cheese and top with the sautéed mushroom mixture.
- Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven, let cool briefly, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes
Drain excess moisture from mushrooms to prevent sogginess. Use block mozzarella for a richer experience.
