  • 1 tablespoon Oil Olive oil or cooking spray works well.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Consider low-fat for a lighter option.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic is a great alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Shallots can be swapped if you prefer.
  • 2 tablespoons Half & Half Milk or heavy cream are good substitutes.
  • to taste Salt/Pepper Adjust according to your taste.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Pepper jack can spice things up!
  • 4 slices Bacon Turkey bacon offers a leaner choice.
  • 2 Green Onions Provide a fresh garnish; chives can work if you're out.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the jalapeños lengthwise, carefully removing the seeds and veins to reduce their heat. Lightly rub each half with oil and place them in a greased air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  2. Set your air fryer to 400°F and cook the prepared jalapeños for 4 minutes. Remove them and let cool for about 5 minutes, placing them on paper towels.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the half and half until smooth. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  4. Generously fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture, ensuring enough filling for a satisfying bite. Top with additional cheese and bacon crumbles.
  5. Return the stuffed jalapeños to the air fryer and cook at 400°F for an additional 5 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Once removed from the air fryer, sprinkle sliced green onions over the top for a fresh garnish. Serve warm.
