  • 1 pound Ground Beef Use 80/20 for rich flavor
  • 1 cup Parsley Finely chopped
  • Spices (cumin, paprika, salt, pepper) Customize to taste

  • Pita Bread Choose thick to prevent tearing

  • Cheese Add mozzarella or Akkawi
  • Vegetarian Option Substitute ground beef with chopped mushrooms and lentils

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 cup of finely chopped parsley, and spices. Mix until well combined.
  2. Take pita bread, slice in half to create pockets, and fill with the beef mixture.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook stuffed pitas for 7-8 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Remove from heat, let rest for a minute and cut for serving. Serve hot.
