Step-by-Step Instructions for Christmas Puppy Chow
  1. Pour Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt together chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter, stirring for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract and let the mixture cool for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gradually pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal, gently folding to coat evenly.
  5. In a large bag, combine powdered sugar and festive sanding sugar.
  6. Add chocolate-coated Chex to the bag and shake until coated.
