For the Base
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry or Flatbread Store-bought for extra ease.
For the Toppings
  • 2 medium Pears Ripe and firm.
  • 4 oz Gorgonzola Cheese Can substitute with goat cheese or blue cheese.
  • 2 tbsp Honey Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts Can substitute with pecans.
  • 1 cup Arugula Leaves
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Freshly Cracked Black Pepper

Method
 

Preparing the Flatbread
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface or place the flatbread on a lined baking sheet.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the flatbread base, spreading it evenly.
  3. Thinly slice the pears and layer them over the base.
  4. Crumble Gorgonzola cheese evenly over the pears.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey, sprinkle walnuts and arugula, and season with black pepper.
