  • 1 cup Raw Almonds Substitution: Cashews, walnuts, or sunflower seeds can be used.
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder Substitution: Carob powder or dark cacao powder could be used.
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats Substitution: Quinoa flakes or shredded coconut can be alternatives.
  • 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds Substitution: Flax seeds or hemp hearts can be used.
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil Substitution: Almond butter or any neutral nut butter will work.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a food processor, combine pitted Medjool dates, raw almonds, cocoa powder, rolled oats, chia seeds, and melted coconut oil. Pulse the mixture until it forms a sticky, uniform dough, which should take about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Once you achieve a sticky mixture for your Date & Cocoa Energy Balls, scoop out small portions using a tablespoon or your hands. Roll each portion into a ball approximately the size of a golf ball.
  3. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper, and then place the formed energy balls on it. Refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. After chilling, your Date & Cocoa Energy Balls are ready to enjoy! Serve them straight from the fridge or at room temperature.
