  • 1 lb Grass-Fed Ground Beef lean beef (5% fat recommended)
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage Spicy Italian recommended
  • 8 oz Bacon sugar-free
For the Vegetables
  • 2 cans Diced Tomatoes 28 oz cans, use with juice
  • 1 can Tomato Paste 6 oz can
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper
For the Broth
  • 2 cups Beef Stock bone broth adds richness
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic essential aromatic
For the Spices
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper adjust to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large stock pot over medium-high heat, add the grass-fed ground beef and spicy Italian sausage. Cook until well browned, about 8–10 minutes.
  2. In a separate skillet, cook the sugar-free bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Crumble and add to the stock pot.
  3. In the skillet with bacon drippings, sauté chopped yellow onion and diced red bell pepper for about 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer sautéed vegetables into the stock pot with the meats. Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef stock. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and reduce heat to low, simmering for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve hot, garnished with toppings like avocado or chives.
