Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for M&M’s Brownies
  1. Melt 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate and ½ cup of unsalted butter in a double boiler over medium heat. Stir until glossy and smooth (5-7 minutes). Let cool for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Whisk in 1 cup of granulated sugar and ½ cup of brown sugar into the cooled mixture. Add 2 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
  3. Sift in ⅓ cup of cocoa powder and a pinch of salt, followed by 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Fold until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in ¾ cup of all-purpose flour until a few streaks remain.
  5. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Pour batter into the pan and smooth the top.
  6. Sprinkle ½ cup of M&M's over the batter.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 45-50 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
