Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Place softened unsalted butter in a mixing bowl and beat on high speed for 6–9 minutes until pale and fluffy.

  3. Pour in lemon extract, citric acid, and lemon zest. Add yellow food coloring if desired and blend for 30 seconds.
  4. Check texture; if too thick, add a teaspoon of milk and mix until desired consistency is reached.
