  • ¼ cup Fresh Cilantro For garnish, can use parsley.
  • 1-1.5 cups Water For adjusting gravy thickness.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by gently coating a whole block of paneer with salt and red chili powder. Allow it to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. In a large pan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil over medium heat until shimmering. Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in 2 cups of pureed tomatoes, add spices, and sauté for about 8-10 minutes until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add water to achieve desired consistency, then place the marinated paneer into the pan and cover. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve hot with naan, paratha, or basmati rice.
