- Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot, add salt, and cook spaghetti according to package instructions for 8-10 minutes until al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-low, sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add drained spaghetti to the skillet, toss to coat with garlic, gradually pour in reserved pasta water until desired sauce consistency is reached.
- Stir in parsley and Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth for the garlic bread spread.
- Slice Italian bread lengthwise, spread garlic mixture on each half, and place on a baking sheet.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake garlic bread for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Slice garlic bread into pieces and serve with spaghetti, garnished with additional Parmesan and parsley.
